Job Responsibilities

Provide high-quality nursing care to patients under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Physician.
Administer prescribed medications and treatments, including oral, topical, and injectable medications, while monitoring for adverse reactions.
Perform clinical procedures such as wound care, dressing changes, sterile technique applications, and urinary catheterization.
Measure and record accurate vital signs and perform focused physical assessments to monitor patient status and progress.
Supervise and provide clinical guidance to Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to ensure delivery of comprehensive bedside care.
Document all patient interactions, medication administration, and clinical observations accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to implement and update individualized patient care plans.
Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, including blood, urine, and sputum, following established safety and biohazard protocols.
Provide health education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding disease management and discharge instructions.
Maintain a safe and sterile clinical environment by following infection control policies and properly managing medical equipment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
Successful completion of an accredited Practical Nursing (LPN/LVN) program.
Strong clinical judgment and the ability to recognize and report subtle changes in patient condition.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to treat all patients with empathy, respect, and dignity.
Physical stamina to manage long shifts and the ability to lift or assist in moving patients using proper body mechanics.
Basic computer literacy for navigating medical software and entering patient data into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).

Certifications and Licensure

Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing with the State Board of Nursing.
Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification.
IV Therapy certification or other specialized clinical certifications as required by the state or facility.
