Responsibilities

Provide direct bedside care, including administering medications, performing wound care, and managing catheters
Monitor and record vital signs like blood pressure, heart rate, and temperature, reporting any abnormalities to the supervising RN or physician
Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the Electronic Health Record system
Collect and prepare laboratory specimens including blood and urine samples
Assist in the development and implementation of patient care plans
Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care instructions

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing program
Strong clinical skills and knowledge of basic medical procedures and terminology
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients of all backgrounds
Physical stamina to stand for long periods and the ability to lift or move patients safely
Proficiency in basic computer skills for electronic charting

Active and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of employment
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification
IV Therapy certification (preferred or required depending on specific facility needs)
Mandatory background check and drug screening clearance
