Implement occupational therapy interventions and treatment plans under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist
Assist patients in developing, recovering, and improving skills needed for daily living and working
Monitor patient progress and provide detailed feedback to the Occupational Therapist to modify treatment goals as needed
Teach patients how to use specialized adaptive equipment, such as splints, dressing aids, and mobility tools
Lead therapeutic activities designed to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and cognitive function
Document patient treatments, responses, and progress accurately within the Electronic Medical Record system
Collaborate with families and caregivers to provide education on home safety and environmental modifications

Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
Strong understanding of occupational therapy principles, theory, and clinical practice
Compassionate interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of diverse backgrounds
Creative problem-solving skills to adapt activities to meet individual patient needs and limitations
Physical ability to support and maneuver patients during functional transfers and therapeutic exercises
Detail-oriented approach to clinical documentation and adherence to healthcare regulations

Current and valid state license or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant
Successful completion of the NBCOT certification exam for Occupational Therapy Assistants
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification
Commitment to meeting state-mandated continuing education requirements for license renewal
